Dave has over 20 years’ tax consulting experience. As a tax partner with Arthur Andersen Dave had overall responsibility for delivering tax and financial consulting and compliance services to clients ranging in size from start-ups to multinational public companies. He has assisted businesses in all areas of tax and financial planning including inter-company pricing studies, multinational tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, compensation and benefits, financial aspects of bankruptcy, utilization of acquired net operating losses, and Employee Stock Ownership Plans.
Later, as a partner in a boutique CPA firm in Los Angeles, he had overall responsibility for delivering financial consulting, tax planning and tax compliance services to high net worth individuals and small to mid-size businesses. The firm’s focus was on family office services to several wealthy families and provided income, estate and gift tax planning, tax compliance, and general financial and business advice and guidance.
More recently, Dave worked with a large US national CPA firm specializing in clients in the financial services industry, primarily hedge funds and private equity funds. He was a part-time university lecturer in Accounting and Tax Law at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Currently, he speaks at tax conferences on Private Client tax issues.
Dave has a BS in Accounting from the Smeal College of Business at Penn State University and is a CPA licensed in California.
